Let’s Talk About Your Pickleball Game…🎯 🔥
🎯 Stop Hitting Balls Long in Pickleball
One of the biggest mistakes players make in pickleball is slowing their swing down because they are afraid of missing long.
But here’s the truth:
The problem usually is not swing speed.
It is technique.
Most players actually create MORE errors when they slow down, guide the ball, or get tight with the paddle.
If you want to keep more balls in the court while still hitting aggressively, there are four major things you need to focus on.
The first is paddle face angle.
Your paddle face should stay slightly closed instead of open. If the paddle face opens up too much, the ball will launch high and sail long. Keeping the paddle slightly tilted downward helps create natural topspin and keeps the ball driving through the court instead of floating.
The second key is grip pressure.
Most players squeeze the paddle way too tight. A lighter grip allows the paddle to work naturally and helps create better feel and spin. Think of your grip pressure around a 1 or 2 out of 10 instead of squeezing at full tension.
The third key is follow through.
A lot of players stop their swing at contact because they are afraid of missing. This actually creates inconsistent contact and loss of control. Instead, commit to a full smooth follow through on every shot.
The fourth key is body position and balance.
Keep your head down, chest forward, knees bent, and center of gravity low. The more balanced your body is, the easier it becomes to control the paddle face and maintain consistency.
Different shots also require different adjustments.
On serves and drives, focus on moving forward through the court instead of just slapping at the ball with your arm.
On dinks, avoid excessive wrist movement. Use your shoulder and arm to extend smoothly through the ball.
On volleys and speed ups, keep the elbow tucked and use the wrist to snap the paddle downward into the court instead of swinging with the full arm.
If you find yourself missing long, do not immediately slow down your swing.
Instead, check your:
• Paddle face
• Grip pressure
• Follow through
• Body balance
Fix the technique first.
That is how high level players hit aggressively while still keeping the ball in the court.

🧠 Win More Points Instantly With This 1 Pickleball Tip
No matter your skill level, this one adjustment can instantly help you win more points:
➡️ Stop second guessing yourself.
In pickleball, time is everything.
The court is small.
The ball moves fast.
Most decisions happen in a split second.
One of the biggest reasons players miss shots is not because of poor technique.
It is hesitation.
Players think:
“Should I drive?”
“No… maybe I should drop.”
Too late.
Now the ball is too close to the body, they get jammed, pop the ball up, or miss entirely.
The same thing happens with shot placement.
“Should I go right?”
“Wait… maybe left.”
And suddenly the timing disappears.
The problem is not always the decision itself.
The problem is the delay.
Your first instinct is usually based on what your eyes, positioning, and experience recognized immediately.
The moment you hesitate, you lose valuable reaction time.
Next time you step on the court, give yourself one simple rule:
➡️ Go with your first instinct.
Will it work every single time?
No.
But even if the decision was not perfect, you still gave yourself a chance to execute the shot properly.
When you second guess yourself, your chances of success drop dramatically because your timing, footwork, and confidence disappear.
High level pickleball is played decisively.
The best players commit fully to their decisions instead of hesitating halfway through the point.
Trust your instincts.
Commit to the shot.
Live with the result.
You will instantly play freer, cleaner, and more confidently on the court.
